Trust and methodology

Every score has a visible formula.

NomadValue scores products for borderless digital work using seven criteria. Pages supply evidence for each criterion; the site calculates the total.

The weighted model

Each dimension receives a score from 0 to 100. The overall score is the rounded weighted sum. Review templates cannot enter an overall score directly.

Value / price25%
Reliability20%
Coverage15%
Ease of use10%
Portability10%
Support10%
Long-term usefulness10%

What the dimensions mean

  • Value / price: Utility received relative to the real price and credible alternatives.
  • Reliability: Consistency of the core service in normal use.
  • Coverage: Availability across relevant countries, networks, devices, or use cases.
  • Ease of use: Setup, learning curve, account management, and day-to-day friction.
  • Portability: How well the product keeps working across borders and changing setups.
  • Support: Documentation, response paths, refunds, and problem resolution.
  • Long-term usefulness: Whether the product remains useful beyond a single trip or task.

Evidence and updates

We use official pricing and policy pages, product documentation, direct product use when available, and clearly identified third-party evidence. Commercial pages show their last substantive update date. Material pricing, coverage, or policy changes trigger a recheck.

Affiliate independence

Commission rates, payout terms, and affiliate availability are excluded from the scoring model. Some links may earn us a commission, but that does not change the price a reader pays or the score we calculate.
